first_imgGus Poyet has told talkSPORT he wants to take Diego Costa to China – but admits his club Shanghai Shenhua are unlikely to be in the hunt for the striker.Chelsea’s star hitman is being tipped to leave Stamford Bridge and is the subject of interest from numerous Chinese Super League teams.The 28-year-old could command a salary in excess of £500,000-per-week by moving to the Far East, and Chelsea are understood to be preparing for his departure this summer.Shanghai Shenhua boss Poyet is among his admirers, though he says the recently-introduced regulations in China which only allow clubs to field three foreign players are likely to rule his side out of the running for the Spaniard’s signature.Poyet already has three overseas stars in his squad – Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins, Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarín and Argentine forward Carlos Tevez.Asked if he would like to sign Costa during an exclusive interview with talkSPORT, Poyet said: “I would love to but it will be very difficult for us because of the quantity [of non-Chinese players] we have got.
