Oliver Giroud has not scored a Premier League goal since January 1 Wolfsburg are interested in signing Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud in the summer. The Frenchman, who is without a Premier League goal since January, has come under heavy criticism for his form in recent weeks and the Gunners could allow him to leave the Emirates if they sign a mega-money replacement.According to Foot Mercato, Wolfsburg are prepared to offer Giroud a deal worth up to £5m-a-year to replace former Gunners forward Nicklas Bendtner, who was released by the German club last month. It is understood that Giroud has become fed up with his critics in the Premier League and will put in a transfer request unless he is given reassurances by Arsene Wenger that he will remain as the club’s first-choice frontman next season.Giroud, who is still Arsenal’s leading goalscorer this season with 20, signed for the club in 2012 as a replacement for Robin van Persie but has never been able to shake off his doubters – amid constant talk of the club’s need to sign a “world-class forward”.
